I think the biggest adjustment is having your first. You have no idea what you are doing and you are used to doing whatever you want, when you want. But there is nothing better than that overwhelming love of having your first child.
Going from one kid to two was a bit easier for me than I thought. The thing I was most nervous about was having enough time to give both babies the attention they needed. Once Cohen got big enough they were instantly best buds. Sophia is so nurturing and is the best big sister I could have ever imagined. Seeing the love those two have for each other is beyond amazing and to me one of the best things about having them so close together.
Now to answer the "big question." It's like I've always had three, and believe it or not the easiest adjustment of all. Like I said the oldest two are the best of friends and keep each other busy.
Not only did they welcome their youngest brother with open arms but love to help me take care of him. I cannot wait to see the three of them grow up so close and take care of each other!
I know it's easy to get caught up with life, and forget what's really important. A quote I found recently sums us up perfectly!
"We may not have it all together, but together we have it all <3"

I can't wait to have 3 although my family is a different dynamic. I'm a step mom to a 5 yr and have an almost 2 year old so it's a little different when we have another but honestly I can't wait :)
ReplyDeleteHow close are your kiddos? For me, #1 and #2 are 15 months apart. They are also best friends. I am currently pregnant with #3, he/she will be 20 months younger than my son. I am a bit worried about having 3 under 3 for a short while, and a newborn with 2 toddlers- BUT I love having them close. :)
