LehouxFamily: My week in pictures! JULY 12th - July 18th 2014!

Well, the week has flown by. . . yet again. Before we know it summer will be over and we will be getting ready for fall. I tried to convince my family to pick up and move this week. Somewhere where the weather is always warm. Unfortunately it did not work! So I guess we will just have to soak up the sun while we have it! Get prepared for another busy week!
This is by far Cohen's favourite summer snack! And that poor fat lip :(

I love how he scrunches his nose when he smiles! :)

Drinking our first mojitos!

So proud of him!

The cake I made Karly for her 24th birthday!

This boy loves the park.

Dad took this one. Our babies all watching T.V together <3

I find him sleeping like this quite often. So sweet.

Best buds!

This dress is a size 4/5! Stop growing!

This picture is just so him. Smiling and goofing around!

I love this picture of Soph swimming with her papa!

Daddy's girl all the way!

Had a nice visit with grumpa. Apparently him and Soph like to pose the same!

Pretty soon he will need a new shirt! :(

Watering aunt mimi's flowers!

One of my favourites! Those eyes!

Last but not least another smiling face!

Well I hope you all had a wonderful week, we sure did! Until next week.

LehouxFamily: My week in pictures! July 3rd - July 11th 2014!

As you may or may not know photography is one if my passions. More specifically taking pictures of my little ones. Which means I pretty much have some sort of camera in their faces 24/7. I just don't want to miss a moment, because as all of you moms know it goes by way too fast! I always say how much I miss blogging and I came up with a way to blog and share some of my favourite shots taken over the past week. Hope you guys enjoy this new series on my blog, and don't forget to let me know what you think below!
He looks so tiny next to his big sister!

Apparently Nolan didn't think I was very funny... I got two out of three smiling though!

I love this picture, my little batman!

Nolan hanging out with his older cousin! (Only older by a few days!)

Watching his daddy!
Giving my girl some hugs before she headed off to her first big girl sleep over!

Such a smiley baby!

I just adore this picture for some reason.

Watching how to train your dragon with the middle child.

Oh. My. Goodness.

We all got a new toy this week, and Soph wanted Mr.Giraffe in the picture too!

He is growing up way too fast!

And last but not least he had a good visit with his great grandma Lehoux!

We clearly had a busy week, surprise surprise!
See ya next week!

Living Life as a Family of Five!

It has now been a little over three weeks since we have expanded our not so little family. One question I am constantly getting is "how is the jump going from two to three?" and "how are you doing it?" Well the honest to God truth... what's one more?

I think the biggest adjustment is having your first. You have no idea what you are doing and you are used to doing whatever you want, when you want.  But there is nothing better than that overwhelming love of having your first child.

Going from one kid to two was a bit easier for me than I thought. The thing I was most nervous about was having enough time to give both babies the attention they needed. Once Cohen got big enough they were instantly best buds. Sophia is so nurturing and is the best big sister I could have ever imagined. Seeing the love those two have for each other is beyond amazing and to me one of the best things about having them so close together.

Now to answer the "big question." It's like I've always had three, and believe it or not the easiest adjustment of all. Like I said the oldest two are the best of friends and keep each other busy.

Not only did they welcome their youngest brother with open arms but love to help me take care of him. I cannot wait to see the three of them grow up so close and take care of each other!

I know it's easy to get caught up with life, and forget what's really important. A quote I found recently sums us up perfectly!

"We may not have it all together, but together we have it all <3"

Living near the Detroit River!

Hey Guys!
So summer is finally here. I wanted to do something different today with the kiddies because the weather has not been the nicest around here lately. We have some beautiful parks along the Detroit River and as I suspected they loved walking along it! The flowers were in bloom and not to mention smelt amazing! I could not pass this opportunity to take some pics of the kids! Enjoy!
She was so excited to see the fountain and kept saying "Sos Water!"

Made me a little nervous but he loved exploring!

Happiest baby boy on the planet!

Candid moment when she went to smell the flowers :)

Little girl in a big world! She loved the boat behind her!

My favourite of the day. I'm sure you can tell why! :)
Make sure you subscribe to my blog and thanks for reading! :)

Long Weekend!

We got back from camping yesterday afternoon and had a great time with Bradley's family. The campground was beautiful but since it was the Canadian long weekend boy was it busy!

The first night we got there late and pretty well just unloaded the car and put the kids to bed. That night we didn't have a heater, so it ended up being the four of us snuggled together in a double bed! The next morning we asked Sophia how she slept and for the first time EVER she did not reply "good" she just gave a pouty face! LOL

Olivia, Uncle Bradley and Memere!

They had a ton of things to do there but Sophia's favourites were the four seater bike, swimming and of course ice cream! We also had a lot of fun at the batting cages :) Cohen mostly just enjoyed being outside and jumping in his bouncer.

My little cheerleader! :)

We had a lot of people on this bike at one point!

The water was freezing but she wanted to swim so badly! She stayed in the water until her lips were turning blue and was like "s-s-s-Sos   s-s-swim" :)

He posed for this picture!
The best part was just being able to relax and spend time with his family. We definitely do not get to do that enough!

Cousins!
We had a wonderful weekend and were so happy to see little Olivia! I will be posting more pictures on my Facebook and look out for a vlog as well! I hope everyone had as good of a weekend as we did!

Living with a hole in my heart

Six months ago I lost one of my best friends/cousin that I've had by me my whole life. This is something I have been struggling with and I am glad I can finally get some of it out. It's been so hard for me that I have been living in my own little world of my children, where I can kind of pretend that this horrific thing did not happen. But for some reason this week it has hit me full force, that there are going to be so many more life changing events in my life that he is not going to be a part of. It hurts me to my core to know that every cousin night from now on is only going to have 6/7ths of the people present. Even though he is with me in my heart literally and figuratively. It still is not enough.

I still remember the night I found out. I had just put my newborn baby to sleep and was drifting off when I got a phone call. My mom did not say anything except Brian is dead through sobs. I walked to Brad (who was sleeping on the couch) who caught me as I almost collapsed and had to stop myself from throwing up everywhere. The rest is a blur. We all got together at my aunts to try to make sense of what had happened. It still does not make sense. He died in his sleep. Peacefully. But why? I will never wrap my head around it.

The seven of us plus a few extra :)
What I did not expect was how this was going to affect me and my parenting. I have never been so afraid of losing my children. I know my thoughts are irrational but every time I lay them down for a nap or to sleep I think to myself I hope to God they wake up. I hope this does not go on for the rest of my life and I hope I do not lose anyone else important to me for a very long time.

All grown up!
I know this was a long one for my first blog post but it is something I have been holding in for a while now. I do not know if it will ever get better but I do hope it gets easier.
I miss you so much Bri.
